Plain-English summary: the free survey runs in your browser and we only store your answers if you give us your email to unlock your report. We never sell your personal data. Affiliate links are clearly marked. You can ask us to delete your data at any time. The full detail is below.

1. Who we are
Wealth Compare ("we", "us", "our") operates wealth-compare.co.uk, a financial benchmarking and comparison platform. Wealth Compare is a trading name of Thomas Levis, a sole trader, of 18 Clemence Road, Street, Somerset, BA16 0SR, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), Thomas Levis, trading as Wealth Compare, is the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy.
Wealth Compare is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration reference ZC263407. You can verify our registration on the ICO register.
2. What information we collect

If you complete the free survey but do not enter your email address, your answers are processed only in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
3. Why we collect it (our legal basis)
- Consent — for sending you marketing emails about your report, product recommendations, and Wealth Compare updates. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see Section 7).
- Contract — to provide the Premium service you've paid for, including your account, saved reports, and ranking history.
- Legitimate interests — to generate your free comparison report, to improve our benchmarking accuracy using anonymised/aggregated data, and to maintain the security of our platform.
- Legal obligation — to keep financial transaction records as required by UK tax and accounting law.
4. How we use your information
- To generate your personalised comparison report and send it to your email.
- To operate your Premium account, including tracking your ranking over time and pre-filling your survey if you upgrade from the free tier.
- To send you relevant product recommendations and marketing communications, where you've consented to this.
- To produce anonymised, aggregated statistics for our own benchmarking, and for B2B/white-label data products (see Section 5 — this never includes data that could identify you individually).
- To process payments for Premium subscriptions and Deep Dive reports.
- To respond to enquiries, complaints, or support requests.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers who help us run Wealth Compare, and only to provide their service to us: Netlify (website hosting, server logs and Premium sign-in), Supabase (secure database for saved reports), Resend (sending your report and account emails), Stripe (payments), Google (website fonts, and AdSense advertising on our Solutions page only if you accept advertising cookies) and Cloudflare (delivering icon files). These providers are contractually required to protect your data.
- Affiliate partners — only if you actively click through to one of their links from our site; at that point you are subject to their own privacy policy, not ours. We do not pass your survey data to affiliate partners automatically.
- B2B and white-label partners — only as fully anonymised, aggregated statistics (e.g. "median net worth for ages 25–34 in London"), never as data that could identify you. A minimum group size is enforced before any segment is included in an aggregate export.
- Legal and regulatory authorities — if we are required to by law.
International transfers. Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK (for example in the European Union or the United States). Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US data bridge) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum in the provider’s data processing terms.
6. How long we keep your data

7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data ("right to erasure") — for example, by unsubscribing or contacting us directly.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for marketing at any time, via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond within one month, as required by law.
8. Cookies and similar technology
We use a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. A banner asks for your choice when you first visit, and advertising storage is only used if you choose "Accept all".

We also use Netlify Identity to run secure sign-in for Premium accounts, which sets its own essential session cookie while you are logged in. We do not currently use separate analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) beyond what is listed above; if that changes, this table will be updated first.
You can change your cookie choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the home, pricing and solutions pages.
9. How we protect your data
We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, and access controls limiting who at Wealth Compare can view personal data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps appropriate to the sensitivity of financial data to protect it.
10. Children's privacy
Wealth Compare is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page, with an updated "last updated" date at the top.
